COVID-19 Update

June 25, 2020

Faith Community's Covid-19 update,

Last night in our Midweek Prayer & Bible Study, I shared with our church our updated protocols now that NC, tomorrow, will become a mandatory mask state, for everyone 12 and up, you may be wondering what we will do.

Below is a link to a six minute clip explaining our updated protocols:

Faith Community is committed to doing "church" in the building as safely as possible. If you are interested in reserving your spot in one of our services, scroll down to the "June 15, 2020 Covid-19 udpate" to find out how.

I know these are uncertain times. I choose to echo the words of King David in Psalm 27:13, “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”

God bless,

Pastor Matt

Notes from the Video:

  • We have since reopening the building, recommended everyone over the age of 2 wear a mask.
  • We are now asking everyone over the age of 12 to wear a mask as they enter the building to their seat.
  • To wear a mask if they move about the building during service (ie. restroom).
  • To wear a mask as they leave the building.
  • Once in a seat, the mask can be removed.
  • Per the Governor’s executive order, children 11 and under and those with a medical or behavioral condition or disability that prevents them from wearing a face covering will be exempted.
  • If any children over the age of 2 feel comfortable wearing a mask, it is still encouraged they do.
  • If you don’t have a mask, we will provide one.

Faith Community's Covid-19 udpate,

Our church building has officially opened up for in-person services as of June 14th. Click on the link below to watch a video explaining some of things you can expect when you come back (please take the time to watch).

https://youtu.be/2QuRnu3l-oY

In the video, it mentions the need to reserve your spot in one of our worship services, 9am or 11am. We are asking our church family, to help us out by letting us know when you plan on coming. This way we can accommodate your family and plan for any visitors who may attend. Please understand that seating is limited, and we will be filling spots on a "first come, first serve" basis.

You can call myself or Carol Benson, our church office manager, to reserve your spot.

Pastor Matt: 704-787-2123

Carol Benson: 816-838-3518

Please try to call during regular business hours, 9-5pm. If you have to call after hours, please call my phone. We will be reserving spots a week at a time.

If you find yourself still not comfortable attending in-person services, we fully understand and want you to attend when you are ready. If anything, this season has taught us that God can move in our living rooms just as powerfully as in the sanctuary! We will be streaming our 11am in-person service to both Facebook & YouTube.

Thank you again for all your prayers and encouraging messages. I look forward to worshipping with you again real soon!

God bless,

Pastor Matt, Lead Pastor

Notes from the Video:

  • Call ahead to reserve your spot
  • If possible, take temperatures of everyone who will be attending service
  • Try to be no more than 15 minutes early
  • Remember, with no kids ministry or nursery, make sure the kids have something to quietly keep their attention, if you think they need it.
  • In the Parking Lot, remember to be socially distant (6ft.)
  • We are (*updated from original post*) asking those who attend wear a mask. If you don’t have one; we will have some onsite.
  • Please enter through the side entrance (if you have trouble with the steps, let us know when you call to reserve your seat and we will let you know what to do!)
  • There will be a table as you enter with masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer, if you are in need.
  • Please remember to stay socially distant in the hallways
  • When arriving to to the sanctuary, a host will seat you
  • Chairs will be filled from the front to back
  • If you have to use the restroom - please head out the back sanctuary door where an usher will be there to provide direction
  • When service is over we will dismiss by rows, starting with the back row first, moving to the front
  • We will exit directly out the double doors in the lobby
  • If you would like to join a volunteer team, email the church
